Investigating quality of institutional repository website design using usability testing framework

Quality of website design is one the influential factors success. How helps users using effectively and efficiently satisfied at end use. However, it a common tendency that websites are designed based on developer's perspectives lack considering user importance. Thus, degree usability tends to be low according perceptions. This study purposed understand experiences an institutional repository (IR) in public university Indonesia. The research was performed testing framework as method. About 12 participants were purposely involved concerning their key informant characteristics. Following three empirical data collection techniques (i.e., query technique, formal experiment, thinking aloud), both descriptive analysis scale matric content qualitative (QDA) Miner Lite software used stage. Lastly, several visual recommendations then proposed study. In terms case study, besides practical which may contextually useful for next development; clarity also help scholars how combine more than technique within multi-technique design.
